Distinguished scholars and accomplished practitioners with a fascinating range of interests and accomplishments. They’ll include you in cutting-edge research and deep theoretical debate.
The active Student Bar Association and other organizations have raised funds for Philadelphia charities, brought some of Philadelphia’s best-known criminal defense attorneys and other notable guests to speak at the school and even taken part in the Philadelphia Marathon.
Ours is a tight-knit, supportive community. Professors know students by name as well as by face. Classmates collaborate – with each other and with faculty.
At first glance, the Earle Mack School of Law curriculum offers the same rich foundation as many other law schools. It’s our groundbreaking integration of theory and practice that causes all the double-takes.
Since we opened our doors, we’ve been raising the bar.
You will gain hands-on experience through our trial advocacy programs, acquiring skills along the way. Our co-op partners include Top 100 law firms, federal judges, Fortune 500 companies and leading public interest organizations. Our students have worked on death-penalty cases, helped inventors secure patents, prepared witnesses for trial and argued cases in the U.S. Courts of Appeals.
The law school’s competitive teams continue to push the envelope with students emerging victorious from numerous regional mock trial, moot court, transactional lawyering and alternative dispute resolution competitions.
Our Pro Bono Service Requirement reflects a commitment to the Philadelphia community and the unmet legal needs of its men, women and children. Under close supervision, students develop their legal skills and gain practical, hands-on, experience in a real work setting.
We are located in one of the nation’s most vibrant - and best-established - legal communities, and we’ll help you forge relationships with some of its most dynamic attorneys and jurists. Right here on campus, our faculty and more than 20 student-driven organizations are constantly organizing activities, conducting research, hosting events, publishing their work and otherwise raising the bar.
