Martha Candiello

Martha Candiello is an attorney with deep roots in the legal community and more than 30 years of experience in the profession. She oversees all of the career services functions at the Earle Mack School of Law, including development of internship and job opportunities, professional development and career programming, student counseling, recruitment events, and employer outreach.

The former general counsel of Sunoco Chemicals, Ms. Candiello was responsible for the management of all legal affairs for the business from 2003 to 2006. From 1979 to 2000, Candiello rose through the ranks of the Corporate Legal Department of Rohm and Haas Company, where she served as strategic business counsel for a $1.2 billion business group from 1998 through 2000. In that capacity, she was a member of the senior management team. In an earlier role at Rohm and Haas, she served as assistant general counsel and chief regulatory counsel for the $6 billion global specialty chemical company. From 2006 to 2008, she was director of general counsel relations at Reed Smith, LLP, where she had responsibility for evaluating and strengthening the firm’s relationships with its key clients worldwide. Most recently, Candiello was principal of ClientBridge, LLC, which helps professional service organizations gain strategic advantage by identifying and implementing leading-edge client service standards. 

Ms. Candiello earned her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law-Camden, and her B.A., with distinction, from Cornell University.

 

Alexandra Vecchio

Alexandra Vecchio has been with the law school since September 2007. She assists in all the aspects of career and professional development at the law school; counseling students and alumni in developing individualized career plans; overseeing, organizing and presenting career-related programs; maintaining and establishing relationships with legal employers; and acting as a liaison between students, alumni and employers.  Ms. Vecchio also oversees the judicial clerkship application process. Ms. Vecchio is a member of the admissions committee and acts as the alumni liaison for the law school. 

Prior to joining the Earle Mack School of Law, Ms. Vecchio practiced at the Philadelphia office of Post & Schell, PC, and served as a law clerk to the Honorable Heidi Willis Currier of the Superior Court of New Jersey. Ms. Vecchio is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and the Catholic University, Columbus School of Law, where she graduated cum laude and was the Managing Editor of the Journal of Contemporary Health Law and Policy.

 

Rashida West 

Rashida T. West

Rashida West manages career counseling, programming, and events for careers in government and public interest law. In this capacity, she develops opportunities for students and alumni, counsels on career paths and funding strategies, presents career programs, and conducts extensive employer outreach. Ms. West also teaches an upper-class seminar on Child Advocacy.

Prior to joining the Earle Mack School of Law, Ms. West practiced for five years as a child advocate attorney with the Support Center for Child Advocates, which she joined as an Independence Foundation Fellow. She provided legal representation and advocacy for older youth aging out of the child welfare system. Ms. West is a graduate of Yale College and Temple University Beasley School of Law.

 

  

Jennifer D. Moore
Coordinator – Recruiting, Communications and Record-Keeping

Jennifer Moore brings to the law school over 19 years of law firm administrative experience. She is responsible for outreach from the Career Strategies Office, including employment and other data management, support for law firm outreach and Symplicity services including OCI registrations, student communications and Symplicity technical assistance for employers and students.

Prior to joining the Earle Mack School of Law, Jen was responsible for firm-wide attorney recruiting and training for a large Philadelphia law firm. She managed both lateral and entry-level hiring as well as summer associate programs. She coordinated the OCI process, lawyer orientation and has experience with mentoring and diversity initiatives.
