3L Receives Justinian Foundation Scholarship
July 9, 2008 — Jim Rosica, a rising third-year student at Earle Mack School of Law at Drexel University, received a scholarship from the Justinian Foundation of Philadelphia.
The scholarship was awarded at the foundation and Justinian Society’s June 9 annual meeting and scholarship luncheon at the Union League, where Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter was honored.
The Justinian Society is a membership organization created by and for attorneys, judges and law students of Italian ancestry. Earle Mack School of Law recognizes a student chapter of the Justinian Society.
Senior Associate Dean for Student Affairs Jennifer L. Rosato attended the luncheon with Rosica, a former newspaper reporter who enrolled in Earle Mack School of Law’s inaugural class in 2006.
Justinian Foundation President Barbara A. Capozzi said the organization is most interested in supporting students who are dedicated to community service.
Rosica, who completed a co-op placement with the Pennsylvania Health Law Project, is working on laws to prevent childhood lead poisoning through an internship this summer with the New Jersey Department of the Public Advocate.
