C-SPAN Civics Bus Visits Law School
September 18, 2009 — Seven students from the Earle Mack School of Law interviewed Michael Chertoff, former secretary of homeland security and former U.S. Court of Appeals judge, on C-SPAN’s “Washington Journal."
The live interview was broadcast from C-SPAN’s Civics Bus, a mobile production facility and demonstration center that visited the law school on Sept. 18.
Students Nicole Aiken, Kevin Frost, Tabitha Kennedy, Raphael Duran, Kevin Demko, Matthew Lynch and Sherrell Dandy each were given an opportunity to ask Chertoff questions dealing with such topics as U.S. government’s use of private security contractors, the executive branch’s responsibility to abide by court orders on issues of national security and the possible halting of the missile defense shield in Eastern Europe by the Obama Administration, among others.
