Legal Research Center Announcements

You Hold the Key!

The Legal Research Center reminds you that thieves on campuses aren't only after your money. They also target laptops and cell phones -- items that too many students carelessly leave unattended. A library may feel like a safe haven, but thefts do occur, and they only take a moment. When you have to step away, even briefly, remember these tips...

  • Take your cell phone with you.
  • Either take your laptop with you or secure it with a laptop lock, which you can check out at the Circ Desk.
  • Any other items of obvious value -- car keys, wallets, purses, etc. -- should also not be left unattended.
  • Don't leave the key to your study room hanging in the door lock; take it with you.
